Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is one of the phenotypes of the Buža group and is characterized by vigorous tree growth with a broad canopy and drooping fruit-bearing branches. The variety is well adapted to the climatic conditions of the Istria region, though it is susceptible to fungal diseases, such as peacock spot, during rainy seasons.

The fruits are studied for morphological traits, and the oil produced from them possesses a complex aromatic profile with notes of herbs, green tomato, and almond. Due to the genetic diversity of the Buža group, the variety is undergoing molecular genetic analysis for precise identification and differentiation.
