The variety is a clone of the Pendolino variety, selected after the severe frosts of 1985. The plant has a characteristic spherical and weeping crown shape. The leaves are lanceolate, light green on the top and grey-green on the bottom.
The fruits are elliptical, symmetrical or slightly asymmetrical in shape, reaching a weight of 3–4 grams. Upon full maturity, the fruits turn black. The endocarp is elliptical, slightly asymmetrical in shape, and weighs 0.30–0.35 grams. The variety is used primarily as a pollinator; the possibility of oil production is also being studied.
