The variety was obtained by clonal selection within the Italian "Leccino" variety and is intended for olive oil production. The tree has strong growth vigor and a spreading crown, although its branches are more prone to breaking under the weight of snow than the original variety.
The plant is distinguished by increased frost resistance and resistance to diseases: olive knot (Pseudomonas savastanoi), peacock spot (Spilocea oleagina), and the bacterium Xylella fastidiosa. The yield of the variety is higher than that of the original "Leccino", and the fruit size is 30–40% larger.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
