Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is an ancient local landrace, genetically close to a number of other Apulian varieties, such as Lecllin and Donna Francesca. In scientific literature, it is most often discussed in the context of genetic analysis of olive crop biodiversity.

The plant belongs to the oil-bearing use category. Data on agronomic characteristics, such as yield parameters or ripening periods, are absent in open sources, and information on resistance to pathogens is limited to the inclusion of the variety in lists of species growing in the area of Xylella fastidiosa distribution.
