The Claramunt variety belongs to traditional landrace olive varieties that are preserved within the framework of regional biodiversity protection programs in Catalonia. It is included in the official Catalog of local olive varieties of this region.

The variety is traditionally used for olive oil production. Detailed morphological and agronomic characteristics of the plant, including height parameters, maturity groups, or disease resistance indicators, are currently not presented in open scientific publications.
