Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree is characterized by a pyramidal shape with branches pointing strictly upward and reaches a height of 4–6 meters. The leaves are narrow-lanceolate, leathery, and gray-green with a silvery underside. The fruits are oval drupes weighing 2–5 g, which become dark purple or black upon ripening.

The variety enters into fruit-bearing at 4–5 years, is characterized by regular yields and an oil content of 15–17 %. The plant is self-sterile and requires pollinator varieties. The tree is resistant to salty sea winds and is capable of tolerating short-term temperature drops down to -10…-16°C.

Fruit ripening occurs from mid-November to mid-December. Due to the strength of its shoots and the vertical structure of the crown, the variety is suitable for use as windbreaks and hedges.
