Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety has a low-vigor tree with a weeping canopy shape. Fruits are small, egg-shaped. The plant is characterized by high and consistent productivity, is self-incompatible, and requires cross-pollination; the varieties Maurino and Piangente are recommended as pollinators for it.

Oil from the fruits of this variety possesses a specific organoleptic profile and is used in blends for oils with protected geographical indication. The variety is susceptible to Phloeotribus scarabaeoides, Spilocaea oleaginea, and sooty mold, and is also valued for the decorative qualities of the trees.
