The Confetto variety is local genetic material from the island of Sardinia, Italy. It belongs to varieties with large fruits and a high proportion of pulp, which makes it suitable for table use, although it is also used for oil production.
The productivity of the variety is characterized by an intermediate type with biennial bearing. The fruits contain an average amount of oil. Scientific observations note high sensitivity of the plants of this variety to the olive fruit fly.
