The Confettino variety is a local cultivar with limited cultivation in the Italian provinces of Potenza, Matera, Foggia, and Bari. The fruits of the variety fall into the category of dual-purpose use, suitable for both oil production and table consumption.

Morphological indicators of the variety include an average flesh-to-pit ratio of 4.80 ± 0.40. Data on plant growth characteristics, ripening periods, and resistance to external factors have not been recorded in publications.
