Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety originates from the Piceno region and is characterized by dense, fleshy fruits with a bitter taste, which require fermentation during preservation. They are also used to produce monovarietal oil with a fruity taste and notes of almond and artichoke.

Harvesting takes place at the end of October, when the fruits change color from green to pink-violet. The variety is rare and has low productivity, which is why it has not gained wide industrial distribution and is considered a genetically valuable resource.
