The variety is local to the province of Huesca. Its fruits are characterized by medium size and a very sweet taste, as well as a specific ability to wrinkle, which makes them suitable for consumption almost immediately after harvesting from the tree.
In terms of agronomy, the variety is considered rare and regressive, requiring the conservation of genetic diversity. The fruits are also used in blends for the production of olive oil with the protected designation of origin Aceite del Somontano.
