The tree is characterized by medium vigor and an upright crown. The variety adapts to calcareous soils and possesses a powerful root system, while exhibiting sensitivity to drought and susceptibility to a number of fungal diseases, including Verticillium wilt and olive knot, as well as possessing moderate cold tolerance.
The fruits are large and characterized by a sweet taste, which attracts birds, the source of the variety's name. Their fat content reaches 20%. The oil obtained from this variety has a mild, rounded taste with fruity notes of apple, almond, and banana, due to which it is often used in blends.
