Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety has the synonyms Dedarico, Dolce, Mirtoleo and Ottobrarico. It is a local folk variety intended for the production of extra virgin olive oil. The oil is characterized by a golden-yellow color and a harmonious combination of bitter and spicy notes.

The variety belongs to early-maturing types: the harvest occurs in October, which is reflected in the name itself. In scientific studies of the wood, an increased starch content was recorded in the parenchyma cells. In practice, the harvesting of fruits is carried out in a mechanized way using vibration machines.
