ActiveOlea europaea L. · Olive
TODOLIVO S.L.

The variety is traditional for the Istria region and was formed as a result of centuries of folk selection. The plant is characterized by a strong trunk and dense canopy. The fruits of the Puntoža variety are small in size and have a specific protrusion in the upper part.
The variety has relative resistance to low temperatures, however it is susceptible to infestation by the olive fruit fly and the fungal disease "peacock spot". The oil produced from these fruits has characteristic aromas of fresh olive fruit and apple; the variety is often used in blends.
