The variety is a local Portuguese genetic resource, which is preserved and studied within the collections of the National Institute for Agrarian and Veterinary Research of Portugal. The variety belongs to the late-ripening category and is distinguished by a dense crown shape.

In comparative development studies, it was noted that in the initial period after planting, the variety demonstrates lower growth intensity compared to some other varieties, as assessed by the trunk cross-sectional area.
