The variety is classified as traditional, included in collections of global olive germplasm. Morphological indicators of six-year-old trees show a trunk cross-sectional area of less than 50 cm².

In agronomic studies, the variety is considered as a rootstock that promotes vigorous growth of grafted plants. The interaction of this variety with the pathogen anthracnose is also being studied to determine the degree of susceptibility to the disease.
