The Sorvara tree has medium vigor and a dense, compact crown with an upright growth habit. Yield is characterized as medium but constant.

During the ripening process, the fruits change color from green to blue-black. The fruit skin is shiny, lacks a waxy bloom, and is covered with small lenticels.

The variety is intended for oil production, with a yield of 19–20%. The plant is distributed primarily in the Italian provinces of Avellino and Benevento.
