The variety is a historically established local type that originated as a chance seedling. The tree has been known since the 14th century, with its widespread distribution and first description developing in the South Moravia region. The variety is sensitive to fungal diseases and parasite infestation.

Fruiting is characterized by irregularity with a tendency toward increased yields every three years. The fruits possess bright coloration, soft consistency, and high sugar content, which makes them a benchmark raw material for the production of brandy and culinary products.
