The Boscha variety is a clone of Prunus cerasus selected from the Schattenmorelle population. It is vigorous and more productive compared to typical representatives of its parent variety.
The fruits are large, dark red, almost black in color, possessing juicy flesh and intensely colored juice with a pronounced sour taste. The produce is intended primarily for processing into juices or preserves.
In terms of agricultural practice, the variety demonstrates characteristics similar to Schattenmorelle, including the need for monitoring Monilinia. During testing for resistance to Prunus necrotic ringspot virus, the clone showed a reaction to the pathogen while maintaining high productivity.
