The tree has medium to strong vigor, forming a pyramidal crown with drooping branches. The variety is considered adaptive to light soils and windy sites. A characteristic feature is the yellowing and shedding of leaves inside the crown in mid-summer.
Fruits are large, round or broadly oval flattened in shape. The dark brown skin is resistant to cracking, the flesh is soft and easily separates from the pit. Juice is dark red, taste is aromatic with pronounced acidity, which decreases upon full ripening. Fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and processing.
The variety possesses resistance to Monilinia, but is susceptible to bacterial blight and Coccomyces leaf spot. Genetically and phenotypically, the variety is virtually indistinguishable from other representatives of the Leopoldskirsche group.
