Ujfehertoi furtos
ActivePrunus cerasus L. · Sour cherry
Ujfehertoi Gyumolcstermesztesi Kutato, H
10 August 2026
The rootstock provides scion vigor at a level of 50–60% of the tree volume on a wild cherry rootstock. The plant possesses a high capacity for root sucker formation and has a shallow root system, while grafted trees begin to bear fruit on average two years earlier than seedling rootstocks.
This rootstock tolerates heavy and compact soils well and tends to be tolerant to chlorosis, but it is sensitive to moisture deficiency. Its use contributes to an increase in yield and cropping efficiency of grafted varieties.
