Ujfehertoi furtos
ActivePrunus cerasus L. · Sour cherry
Ujfehertoi Gyumolcstermesztesi Kutato, H
10 August 2026
The variety is a product of German breeding, developed by M. Schmidt in Müncheberg and M. Zwintzscher in Köln-Vogelsang. The work was aimed at improving fruit characteristics, increasing fertility, enhancing resistance to environmental stressors, and enabling mechanized harvesting.
During variety trials, it was established that a morphological feature of Cerella is the arrangement of flowers in inflorescences in pairs. The variety is included in official testing programs evaluating product quality and disease resistance; however, detailed quantitative yield data and maturity dates are not published in open sources.
