The variety was obtained by crossing Shasse Morello and Köröser Weichsel varieties. The tree is characterized as low- or medium-vigorous. Fruits are large, dark red in color, with ruby-red flesh and juice, and possess a sweet-and-sour taste. The fruit stalk separates easily from the fruit.
The variety belongs to the early-ripening group and is characterized by moderate yield. It has a universal purpose and is often used in breeding programs. Some hybrids obtained on the basis of this variety show reduced susceptibility to Coccomyces hiemalis.
