A historical sour cherry variety, also known by the names Brüsseler Braune or Brune de Bruxelles, has an unclear origin with links to Belgium. In Czech agricultural and agrotechnical classifications, this cultivar is recommended for cultivation in areas up to an altitude of 450 meters.
A number of historical synonyms are associated with the variety, such as Hohensaller, Ratafia, or Nord Morelle. At present, it is included in so-called rescue collections of fruit trees for the purpose of preserving genetic and cultural diversity.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
