The tree is weakly to moderately vigorous, 2.5–4 meters tall, often having a bush-like shape with drooping branches. The variety is prone to bare branches and requires regular pruning. It is highly susceptible to Monilinia.

The fruits are large, weighing up to 5.3 g, round or slightly oval in shape. At full maturity, they acquire a dark red, almost black color. The flesh is soft and juicy, dark red in color, with a distinct sour taste.

The variety belongs to the late-ripening group. The fruits have multipurpose use: they are used for the preparation of juices, compotes, jams, confectionery products, as well as liqueurs and distillates.
