The tree is vigorous, with a dense crown that becomes drooping with age, featuring thin branches. The variety is self-fertile and is distinguished by regular, moderate yields. The plant possesses medium winter hardiness and relative resistance to fungal diseases, including fruit rots.
The fruits, weighing 4.0–4.8 g, have a blunt-globular or barrel-like shape. The color of the fruit and flesh is dark red, almost black at full maturity. The flesh is juicy, tender, and has a sweet-and-sour taste with a slight bitterness. The peduncle is long and firmly attached to the fruit.
The variety is intended primarily for processing: production of juices, preserves, and use in baking. During harvesting, damage to the skin and juice leakage are often observed, which requires immediate processing of the berries after picking from the tree.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
