The variety was obtained as a result of clonal selection from the original Pándy population. The trees are characterized by vigorous growth and form a high crown. The variety is self-sterile and requires pollinators.
The fruits are large, weighing from 3 to 5.6 g with a diameter of about 24 mm, round and slightly flattened in shape. The skin at maturity is dark red or brownish-black, glossy. The flesh is of medium density, separates well from the stone, and has a pronounced aroma and balanced acidity. The fruits are resistant to cracking.
The variety exhibits tolerance to Prunus necrotic ringspot virus, however, it can be affected by Monilinia laxa.
