The variety belongs to the Hungarian Pándy selection group. The tree is medium-sized, approximately 2.6–2.9 m tall depending on growing conditions and rootstock. The variety shows good resistance to fungal diseases and tolerance to Prunus necrotic ringspot virus.
The fruits have a mass of 6–8 g, a round shape, and a dark red color. The flesh is juicy with a sweet and sour taste. The variety matures in July, in its second half. The fruits are resistant to cracking under high humidity and are suitable both for fresh consumption and for various types of industrial processing.
The variety has the ability to self-pollinate, however, the effectiveness of this process depends on weather conditions. Genetic studies confirm the existence of differences between individual clones of the Pándy group, which is due to a long period of folk selection and the accumulation of somatic mutations.
