A tree or shrub with a broadly rounded crown shape and thin, short fruit-bearing shoots. The variety belongs to the bush cherry group and historically includes a number of distinct clones. The plant has the ability to abundantly produce root suckers.

The fruits are small or medium-sized, dark red in color, and spherical in shape. The flesh is soft, juicy, with pigmented juice, and easily separates from the pit. The taste of the fruits is sour, aromatic, sometimes with a sweetish hint. The variety matures relatively early and is self-incompatible.

The plant is very hardy, adapted to various soil conditions, and possesses high disease resistance. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, processing, and can be used as rootstock.
