The Ola variety tree is moderately vigorous, with abundant branching and a weeping form of branches, which partially become bare under the crop load. Flowering is late; the variety is self-pollinating.
Fruits weighing 4–6 g have a flat-round or reniform shape and shiny dark-brown-red skin. The flesh is red, juicy and soft; the taste is characterized by sweet-and-sour notes with a cherry astringency.
Ripening occurs at very late dates. Mature fruits are resistant to shedding. The variety shows reduced sensitivity to Monilinia shoot blight.
