The tree has medium vigor, forms a broadly pyramidal or spreading crown, and can reach a height of 3 to 9 meters. It enters into bearing slowly; productivity is high but not always stable from year to year. The variety is partially self-fertile; to increase yields, it is recommended to plant Stanley or President varieties nearby.

The fruits are large or very large, weighing 78–87 g, ellipsoidal in shape. The skin is dark purple with a waxy bloom, the flesh is yellow, juicy and sweet, and the stone separates well. The variety is hardy to cold, but is sensitive to Monilinia.

The harvest ripens from the end of August to the beginning of September. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for processing into jams, preserves, canned goods, or brandy. The firm consistency of the flesh ensures good transportability of the produce.
