Variety description

10 August 2026

Grosse Marange is an old autochthonous variety from the Lorraine region, France. The fruits are small in size, colored greenish-olive or ash, sometimes with minor reddish or brownish spots and dense speckling on the surface.

The fruit flesh is yellow-green, golden and translucent, moderately firm in texture, delicate and slightly crunchy. The taste is assessed as very sweet. The variety ripens early, at the end of July.
