The Martin d’Saluse variety, also known as Martin di Saluzzo, is a local variety historically associated with the Saluzzo area. Currently, it is considered rare and practically lost in modern pomology.
The fruits of this variety are characterized by low flesh sweetness and less graininess compared to other related varieties of the Martin group. The variety is mentioned primarily in the context of studying the genetic diversity of old fruit crops of Piedmont.
