CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree of this variety has medium vigor and a spreading crown. A characteristic feature is extremely late bud break and flowering in May. Productivity is medium, with fruiting concentrated primarily on thin annual twigs — brindilles.
The fruits are medium-small in size, weighing 45–50 g, having a flattened shape and thick green skin, completely covered with russeting. The flesh is white, moderately granular, and not very juicy. The variety shows resistance to scab.
The fruits are considered processing-grade and are used for baking or boiling. The variety is valued for its ability to be stored for a long time, during which the skin turns yellow and the flesh can become juicier. Historically, the storage of fruits in a suspended state was practiced.
