The variety is a clone of the Williams pear. The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of about 3 meters with a crown diameter of up to 2.5 meters; vigor is rated as medium or medium-low. Winter hardiness is at an average level.
Fruits weighing 180–220 g have a regular pear-shaped form. During the ripening process, the skin color changes from ruby-red to orange-red with yellow shades. The flesh is white or creamy-white, melting, with a nutmeg aroma.
The variety is self-sterile and requires the presence of pollinators such as Conference or Doyenné du Comice. Compatibility with quince rootstock is poor, so the use of intermediate grafts is recommended. The plant can show susceptibility to fire blight and scab.
Fruits ripen in August – early September and are intended for fresh consumption, culinary use, and canning. The tree has high ornamental value of foliage and fruits.
