The medium-sized fruits possess melting white flesh with a delicate flavor. The skin color is bright, red-yellow, retaining a green hue on the shaded side, with the fruits capable of ripening directly on the tree.
The plant has been known since the 19th century and is mentioned in antique pomological literature as suitable for cultivation on pear or quince rootstocks, as well as for wall culture.
