The Monica variety is known as a breeding object created by the Research Institute for Fruit Growing in Pitești. It is used in hybrid breeding and often acts as a control sample when comparing fruit quality with new varieties.
The plant possesses complex disease resistance. The fruits of the variety are characterized by an attractive appearance; when evaluating them, parameters such as weight, size, flesh firmness, pH level, titratable acidity, and soluble solids content are analyzed.
