The fruits have a turbinate or cylindrical shape with an uneven surface. The skin is olive-green with dots, acquiring a golden hue and a carmine blush when ripening in the sun. The yellowish-white flesh has a melting consistency, abundant juice, and a sweet taste with slight acidity. Ripening occurs in August.
The tree is characterized by high vigor and fertility. Breeding research notes the presence of markers for resistance to scab. Due to good compatibility with quince and a strong trunk, the variety was historically used as an intermediate rootstock for more sensitive pear varieties.
