Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing the varieties Uvedale's St. Germain and Williams' Bon Chrétien. The tree is weak- to medium-vigorous, reaching a height of 4–6 meters and has a broadly spherical or rounded crown shape. The variety is self-sterile and requires cross-pollination with the varieties Josephine, Howell, or Nijisseiki.

Harvest maturity occurs in the second half of September or October; consumer maturity occurs in November–December. The fruit, weighing 170–270 g, has a pear-shaped, often bumpy form. Upon ripening, the skin changes color from greenish-yellow to light yellow. The flesh is creamy, juicy, tender, sweet and sour, with a muscat aroma.

The plant has high resistance to fire blight, but requires protection against scab and attention due to the tendency of the fruit to drop. The winter hardiness of the variety is rated as medium or low, so it is most suitable for cultivation in regions with a mild climate.
