The variety is traditional to the Tuscany region and is included in the lists of genetic resources and biodiversity. Fruits ripen in the period from the end of August to the beginning of September and possess juicy flesh, a sweet taste, and a pronounced aroma.
The variety is intended for fresh consumption and is also used in local culinary arts for the preparation of desserts and distillates. Fruits are capable of maintaining their quality at room temperature for 3–4 weeks, and can be stored in a refrigerator for several months.
