The variety is considered very ancient, historically grown in monastery gardens. In scientific studies, it is often treated as a synonym for the Curato variety. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and productivity, but is prone to alternate bearing.

The fruits are small, elongated in shape, with a long stalk. The skin has a greenish-bronze color. The variety is a winter type: consumer maturity occurs in December, and the ripening and storage period lasts from January to February.

The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for culinary processing, making preserves and distillates. There is insufficient data on complex disease resistance; the variety may show susceptibility to fungal diseases.
