Variety description

10 August 2026

Spadona Invernale is an old local variety widespread in various regions of Italy. Trees of this variety are characterized by vigorous growth and can reach a significant age.

The fruits of the variety are small, symmetrical, and oblate in shape. During the ripening process, the skin turns yellow with a red blush on the sun-exposed side and sparse red lenticels. The fruits require post-harvest ripening and were historically used for processing.
