The SPADONCINA variety is an ancient local Italian cultivar (landrace) belonging to the summer pear category. The fruits of this variety are distinguished by their small size and pronounced aroma, which is why the variety retains its significance for local markets.

In agronomic standards, the variety is known as Pera Spadoncina Estiva, however, it should not be confused with the Spadona variety. Currently, there is no information on industrial use in modern intensive orchards, and the variety is considered primarily as an object for the conservation of genetic resources.
