Variety description

10 August 2026

The SPINA D’ESTATE tree has medium vigor and a semi-open or upright canopy. The fruits have a low weight of 60 to 80 grams, a spheroidal or turbinate shape, and are often covered with characteristic russeting on the yellow-brown skin. The whitish flesh of the fruit is distinguished by high density and medium texture.

The variety belongs to summer ecotypes of folk selection. The taste of the fruits is rated as good but with little aroma. Due to the small size of the fruits and specific characteristics of the flesh, the crop was historically not intended for commercial use, remaining a traditional variety for local domestic households.
