Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a historical chance seedling discovered in the vicinity of Stuttgart around 1750. The tree is vigorous, forming a dense pyramidal crown; when using dwarfing rootstocks, growth slows down. Flowering is early and prolonged, resistant to weather conditions. The variety is winter hardy, however, it exhibits possible susceptibility to scab.

Fruits ripen from mid-August to early September and have a pear-shaped or bell-shaped form. The skin is smooth, thin, light green or yellow-green in color, often with a sun-blush. The flesh is greenish-white, juicy, with a muscat or cinnamon flavor. The consumption period for fresh fruits is short, lasting 1–2 weeks, after which they become mealy.

The variety is high-yielding. Fruits have a universal purpose: they are consumed fresh and are also used for drying, making juices, jams, and distillates.
