Variety description

The variety is an evergreen shrub with a broad-rounded crown and medium vigor. The leaves are dark green, leathery, and glossy, with an ovate or elongated shape. At 10 years of age, the plant height is about 150 cm; mature specimens reach 180–200 cm.

The flowers are large, up to 9.5 cm in diameter, and gathered in dense spherical inflorescences. The petals are pink with a darker edge, a lighter center, and a characteristic golden-green or olive spotting on the upper petal. Flowering occurs in late May and early June.

The plant belongs to hardiness zone 6 and withstands temperatures down to -23 °C. Planting requires acidic, well-drained soils. The variety is used in group compositions, as a solitary plant, as well as for creating hedges and landscaping heather gardens.
