The variety was obtained as a result of crossing 'Dace' and 'Purple Splendour'. The plant is an evergreen shrub with an upright, slightly rounded crown shape. At the age of 20 years, the shrub reaches a height of 2.5 m and a width of 2–2.3 m.
The flowers are colored in a purple-red shade. The period of abundant flowering occurs from late May to early June. The variety possesses good winter hardiness, which allows it to be grown throughout the territory of Latvia. Used primarily for decorative purposes in solitary plantings.
