Variety description

The variety is a low, dense, thick, spherical shrub. In 10 years, it reaches 0.5–0.7 m in height with an identical width. The leaves are dark green, slightly glossy, leathery, and lanceolate.

Flowers with a diameter of 5–6 cm are gathered in inflorescences of 10–14 pieces. The buds have a yellowish-pink tint; when blooming, the flowers are lemon-yellow with a contrasting yellow-green speckled spot on the upper petal. The edges of the petals are slightly wavy. Flowering is abundant, early, from mid-April to early May.

The plant is winter-hardy (zone 6a) and resistant to drought and direct sunlight. It prefers semi-shaded or shaded areas, as well as acidic, moderately moist, humus-rich soils. Recommended for small gardens, cultivation in groups, as solitary plants, or in heather gardens.
