The shrub has an upright dense growth habit, reaching 2–2.5 m in height and width. Leaves are evergreen, dark green in color, lanceolate in shape.
Flowers are pink-shaded and gathered in inflorescences; the flowering period occurs from late May to early June. The variety prefers semi-shaded areas with acidic humus soils and possesses a shallow root system.
