The shrub has a dense rounded shape and reaches 90–120 cm in height and 60–90 cm in width. Leaves are elliptic, glossy, and dark green in summer. Flowers are semi-double, ruffled, and about 5 cm in diameter.
The variety is reblooming: the main flowering occurs in spring, followed by a repeat in autumn. The plant has increased resistance to heat and sun compared to other azaleas; winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 6b–9. The variety is toxic if ingested.
